Where the Lift Becomes Part of the Architecture: Hybon’s Bespoke Cabin for Urvashi Rautela

· 2 min read

A rose-gold, brass and marble cabin designed to blend seamlessly with the interior theme of Urvashi’s Uttarakhand residence.

Noida | 28 October 2026: For a woman whose career has been built on the red carpet, the most personal entrance may be the one at home. Hybon Elevators & Escalators has completed a bespoke passenger elevator at the Uttarakhand residence of actor Urvashi Rautela, a cabin conceived less as a machine than as a room within the house.

Rose gold sets the tone. Automatic glass doors in a mirrored rose-gold finish open onto an interior of warm-white light, a composite-marble floor and fine brass inlay. Every surface was chosen to echo the character of the home, so that the journey between floors feels like a continuation of its interiors rather than a pause between them.

The elevator runs on a quiet gearless system across four levels, with the engineering kept out of sight so the design can take the lead. At the residence’s inauguration, it became the talk of the evening as guests arrived.

“The best home elevators are never noticed as equipment. They are noticed as a piece of art,” said Mr. Ratan Singh Sehgal, MD, Hybon Elevators & Escalators. “This project began with the home and its owner’s sense of style, and we shaped the cabin around both.”

The installation reflects a shift in Indian luxury homes, where design coherence now extends to the spaces once treated as purely functional, from staircases and lifts to lobbies. Hybon, which designs and manufactures in Noida, works with homeowners and architects to make the elevator part of that conversation from the first sketch.
