Srinagar Airport keeps curtailed flight hours until July 31

Srinagar Airport is keeping its curtailed flight hours of 8 am-5 pm until July 31 due to an ongoing IAF runway upgrade.

Srinagar Airport is keeping its curtailed flight hours of 8 am to 5 pm until July 31, due to an ongoing Indian Air Force runway upgrade that began on April 6.

This is a temporary shift away from the airport’s usual operating hours of 8 am to 10 pm.

About 60 flights, including arrivals and departures, normally operate at the airport each day within the standard window.

The reduced hours are intended to support the runway upgrade, aimed at improving operational efficiency and safety standards.

Authorities have said flight frequency is expected to increase in line with the summer schedule approved by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation once the work concludes.
