TN Class 12 supplementary result 2026 declared for 60,527 students

Tamil Nadu’s Directorate of Government Examinations declared the Class 12 supplementary exam result and HSC +1 arrears result on Thursday, July 31, 2026, for students with subjects pending from the main board exams.

In all, 60,527 students appeared for the supplementary examination, which was conducted between June 28 and July 7, 2026, the DGE said.

Marksheets are available for download at tnresults.nic.in and dge.tn.gov.in, where students need to enter their registration number and date of birth in DD/MM/YYYY format.

To pass, students require a minimum of 35 marks out of 100 in theory-only subjects, while subjects with practicals need at least 15 marks in theory plus a combined total of 35 marks.

Candidates seeking revaluation can apply on August 4 and 5 at their District Assistant Director’s office, between 11 am and 5 pm, for a fee of Rs 275 per subject.

The main Class 12 result, declared on May 8, 2026, had recorded a 95.20% overall pass percentage, with this supplementary round offering another chance to students who fell short of that bar the first time.

Tamil Nadu’s supplementary exams are typically held for students who failed to clear one or more subjects in the main board examination, giving them a chance to qualify without losing an academic year.

The Directorate of Government Examinations conducts supplementary exams separately for Class 10 and Class 12, along with arrears papers for Higher Secondary First Year students who did not clear all subjects.

Students who remain dissatisfied with their supplementary marks can also apply for a photocopy of their answer sheet in addition to revaluation, a facility offered by the DGE for a separate fee.

The regular Class 12 result for 2026, declared on May 8, recorded an overall pass percentage of 95.20%, one of the state’s stronger showings in recent years.
